So, something about me
This is by far the hardest part to write.. What do you want to know about me?
You can check out my professional experience on LinkedIn. So not too much to add there. Maybe you want to know what is important to me? What gives me energy? What are my values?
I like being creative; I'm a thinker, but also a do-er; I like to be around people, but also need some time for myself; I like to dance (if I get the chance); I like to read and read a lot.
I find values such as respect, honesty, trust, engagement and integrity fundamental. And humour! There is always time for humour.

And how does this blog fit into this picture?!
Lifequestions
Somewhere around the age of 40, the so-called life questions keep spinning around in my head. "What do I want to do for the rest of my life, both privately and professionally?" And also "What do I don't want to do anymore?"

And then a number of things come up, among which "being creative" is an important one. After a long journey of self-reflection and speaking to many people, I see - in the Schiphol departure hall on our way to Sardinia - the light..

"Els, just do this!"
"What do I still want to do?!"
"I like to write!"
Ok, but do what exactly?
Well, I like to write. Maybe also because I like to read. On my bucket list I have the dream to write a book someday...
So I start to write. Not a book yet, no. But my own blog. About what I experience, think, see, question, ... And this mainly focused on the professional side: how we as people do our job. How we behave as colleagues and influence each other. How a 'company' truly has a culture. , .....
So that holiday in Sardinia I start writing this blog. Already on the plane actually when I start listing topics and titles. And this goes amazingly smooth. And best of all ... it gives me so much energy!
So all through the holidays I'm writing on my i-pad. In Pages. On the beach. During a 32°C. And it feels good. Really good!
Bringing value
But who am I writing for? For anyone who wants to read it!
I am often told that I am a good listener, that I can inspire and motivate people. But then it mainly concerns direct communication; about 1-on-1 conversations, about working together. This blog is a different form of communication. You don't know me yet - I don't know you yet.
So I'm very curious! Curious if you readers find anything valuable. And if I manage to contribute somehow in this way.
